My Camden Market Experience/Haul!

So most people are surprised when I have told them that I have never been shopping to Camden Market, but the truth is London is a long way away from me and I have never really got myself organised enough to go, so you can imagine my delight when one of my friends invited me to her 16th birthday party, which was a sleepover and trip to Camden for shopping! So yesterday morning, myself and six others including Georgie’s mum got the train to London and then a bus to Camden Market. I had the most amazing day, I love everything about Camden and the stuff on sale were all things which were right up my street. I had some birthday money so I did buy a few things, but was pretty restrained! My style is very rock/punk/scene with a bit of a girly twist so there was so much there I could have bought but I did just stick to getting a few little things.

The first thing I got, I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it! It’s a large vest with Edward Scissorhands on the front and it’s from a company called YoCoco. I am the biggest Tim Burton fan ever and Edward Scissorhands is one of my all time favourite films/characters. It was £12 but he said I could get 2 for £20 so one of my friends got a different vest making this only a tenner! I think that’s fantastic seeing as something like this would be at least £20 on the high street.

I also got a new hoodie which I have been wanting for ages; I just saw this rail with loads of hoodies for a tenner each! Which again is a really good deal as the ones I have been looking at are at least £25 and I love the design, it’s really cuteJ.

The last two things I got are pretty little, just a bundle of black and red gummy bands for £1.50 I think, I should have got more because I really like them, and a new wallet from this hello kitty stall I found! It was pretty pricey £9 but I love it and couldn’t resist!

The only bad part of the whole trip was the journey home, I won’t go into details but it took 4 hours instead of the possible 1 hour and a half, it was hell but apart from that I had such an amazing day! If you ever get the chance I really recommend you go to Camden Market, even if just for a look!

My 16th Birthday!

So if you follow me on twitter then you will probably know that last weekend I turned sixteen! It’s pretty shocking for me, as I still feel about five years old but anyway, I had a really great day. My birthday party was on the Thursday and my actual birthday was on the Saturday (29th of October btw). For my party, I had 6 friends over and we went to Lazer Quest then out for dinner and a sleepover, it was so much fun, especially as we all wore onesies for the Lazer Quest! Here are a few pictures of us in our onesies and then all dressed up for dinner.

We went to Ask for dinner then came back home to have pink champagne and my birthday cakes, red velvet cupcakes which my mum made for me, it was really lovely! We then danced around like loons and chilled out for the night. I had such a great party and it was lovely to have so many of my friends there so thanks to my friends for coming and for my lovely prezzies :)

Now on my actual birthday, my grandparents and aunt and uncle came down to see us and i had another really great day, it was lovely to see my granny and grandad especially, because for one reason or another we hadnt seen each other since august! Prezzies wise, i got my guitar which is now my baby, i am in love with it and am so grateful for it! I also got some hello kitty headphones and some beautiful doc martens which i have wanted for ages! Im so thankful for everything i got and im so happy. Thankyou for all the birthday wishes!

Until you broke her down

Vest: Great Plains
Jumper: Label Lab
Jeans: Republic
Earing: Clairs

Hey guys, so im back with another OOTD and this one is just for a dinner party i had on Saturday night with my parents friends and their children, who i am friends with. It was a very casual and relaxed evening and i was just recovering from a nasty cold so i wanted to be warm. I wore my new jeans with my mums jumper which looked cute but was comfy too. I had a lovely evening, we ate curry my mum and i cooked, and played music all night, as all of us could either play guitar or sing, or both!

On to my song choice, this song is my obsession at the moment, i simply adore it, its written and performed by two amazingly talented sisters (twins actually) on youtube, Megan&Liz and they wrote it in support of antibullying. Take a listen and watch the video, their so talented!

Im getting quite excited now, its my 16th birthday on Saturday and my party on Thursday! I will fill you all in and provide pictures afterwards dont worry! I hope your all having a good week so far, and if like me you are on half term, i hope your enjoying it!

I've Been Shopping!

Hey guys, sorry i haven't posted in a while, i have taken the pictures etc but i just haven't gotten round to writing the stuff up recently, i have just broken up for half term which is awesome, but i have had work to do so that's why i have been AWOL for a bit.

So this will just be a quick post showing you guys some of the things i brought recently, its not very much but i thought you guys would be interested.
Black Lace Dress: Oasis
Purple Skinny Jeans: Republic
I have been looking for a black lace skater dress for ages, and every time i find one, its always VERY short as im pretty tall. I found this one in oasis and it falls to a bit above the knee, which is perfect! It was £50 but with a voucher and discount stuff we had i got it for £20 which is awesome. Its so pretty and i love it.

I found these plum skinny jeans in Republic and fell in love with the colour, as purple is my favorite colour and i thought these would be perfect for autumn/winter!
Sorry for the small pictures! The first jewellery item is this BEAUTIFUL locket, it has a P on the front (for Paramore :D) and on the back it says You Are the Only Exception. I love this locket because it sums up how much Paramore mean to me, i wear it everyday.

The earrings i got from Claires, as i had a gift voucher, their super cute and perfect for autumn/winter :)

I hope you enjoyed this quick post, il be posting more soon!

Im on the edge.

This will be a different blog post today, i am writing this to commemorate two people who lost their lives last week. The first, Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14 year old boy who killed himself because of the bullying he had been through. All because he was gay. Jamey was on twitter and though i didn't personally know him, it cut me to the core that he was driven to such extremes because of what other children said and did to him. Because of his action, a project has been launched called the Paws Up Forever Project, as Jamey was a Lady Gaga fan. It is to help make bullying illegal. The video on youtube reduced me to tears, watch it! We need to make bullying illegal. We need to do it for Jamey. RIP Jamey.

Now the other death is under completely different circumstances. Troy Davis, a man on death row for the murder of an off duty policeman was executed in the early hours of Thursday morning, in Georgia. There was a significant lack of evidence, for example no DNA evidence, no weapon was ever found (the murder happened in 1989) and 7 of the 9 witnesses who said that they saw Troy pull the trigger, have taken back their statements. I believe he was innocent, and even if he was guilty, i strongly oppose the death penalty. I have been campaigning for Troy for a while now, at the Amnesty International meetings at school, we must not let Troy's death be in vain, we must end the death penalty. For more information, got to the Amnesty International website and together we can end this terrible form of punishment.

Thankyou for reading this post, i will keep Jamey and Troy in my heart forever, and i hope you do too. Rest in Peace Jamey Rodemeyer and Troy Davis <3

In the mourning il let you die

Top: Great Plains
Trousers: French Connection

Jacket: TK MAXX

I went out for dinner with my parents last night, just for a pizza and this is what i wore. I know its practically the same as the outfit last night, all i did was change the jacket and top, but i love wearing this so i wore it again :). I love this top, i got it in the sales last christmas, its a beautiful teal/blue colour with gold chains, but its very heavy so i have to be careful! Ive got a bit of work to do, mostly just some photography for art and a bit of english, school again tomorrow though, im getting back into a pattern but its still not a nice thought. I hope your all having a lovely weekend! This song is one of Paramores newest, they performed it at the Fueled By Ramen 15th Anniversary show with a cover of Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Its beautiful, as is Hayley! The lovely Taylor York is on acoustic guitar in the video too ( ILOVEHIM) and unfortunately Jeremy is not in the video, but im sure he was there somewhere during the song! ENJOY :) <3

Happy Saturday everyone! Im wearing casual clothes again today, i got this tee for a fiver in the sale on the VersaEmerge web store. If you dont know who VersaEmerge, there a rock/punk band from the US kind of similar to Paramore, and as you know I LOVE PARAMORE. Not much to say today except ive been up to my eyeballs in work and as well as that having to think about A levels and 6th form, even though i cant even think about my GCSE's yet! I hope your all a bit less stressed than me!

Trousers: French Connection

I went back to school on Wednesday, so this week has been all about settling back into routine, early mornings and being generally shattered. But now its Friday, so looking forward to the weekend, and my parents decided to take my brother and I out for a curry. After being in uniform all week i wanted to dress up a bit, so i wore these gorgeous wool peg-leg trousers from French Connection, a sparkly top and lace up heals. I also went all out on my eye makeup, creating a pretty dramatic smokey eye. I hope you all have a great weekend, wish my dad luck, he is running in the Nottingham Marathon on Sunday!

Sorry for the crazy pose, i needed to take these photos quickly before my camera battery died, i hope their ok! Just a really basic casual outfit today, all i have done is walk my dog and dye my hair! I got it cut yesterday, kind of like Frankie from the Saturdays, and I LOVE IT. Then today, my mum helped me dye my hair, i used Clairol Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10 in Dark Brown. it was easy, only took 10 minutes and i love the colour. Thats pretty it for me, just sitting around listening to My Chem. Life is good.

Reading Fest :D

I know i have been AWOL for a couple of weeks, and I'm sorry about that but i have been pretty busy, i was in France and then i was home for a few days and then i went off to reading festival from Thursday until Sunday night. It was the most amazing experience of my life, i loved every single second of it. The actually festival started on Friday but we (my parents, brother and i) drove over on the Thursday so that we could pitch our tent and not spend all day in a queue on Friday. After having to turn around when we were halfway there because we forgot the sleeping bags, we managed to get to the car park at around half 2 and then we had to pull on our wellies, get our wristbands and walk to our campsite. There are many different campsites, all organised in colours, we had already decided to stay in white because though it is the furthest away from the arena, it is the quietest and it made it possible for us to get at least a little sleep. I would definitely recommend the white campsite, it was a half hour walk through the other campsites or a 20 minute boat ride, but i am not too tired as i managed to sleep every night!

Anyway, so we got into a routine, wake up around 9, breakfast then head over to the arena around 12. The headliners were on around 10pm and Friday was definitely my favorite day, with 30 seconds to mars on before the headliners, My Chemical Romance. Two of my favorite bands, the performances were amazing, really mind blowing and i wish i could relive it over and over again, I'm writing this with my MCR albums on repeat :).

Saturday was Pulp and the Strokes which were really good, we didn't stay until the end because we had spent all day at the arena and so were tierd, so we went back to the tent and slept. Sunday i got to see Panic! at the Disco, another of my favorite bands, Ed Sheeran and Elbow, then the headliners were the legendary Muse! They had the most amazing light show, i loved watching it, but unfortunately they didn't choose their set list very wisely, they played a lot of songs from one album, most of which people didn't really know, and then after an hour they started playing the classics like super massive black hole etc. We couldn't stay till the end either, because we had already decided that we were going to go before we got stuck in the queue going home, we got home pretty quickly and i fell straight asleep.

That's pretty much all i have to say about reading fest, if you are thinking about going then i definitively recommend it, check out the line up when they put it up and if you like it, book the tickets! I hope you enjoyed this post, i should be doing a few more OOTD before i go back to school (next Wednesday) and after that i will hopefully do one of two a week. Thanks for reading

France

Hello my lovelies, im back from France! I had a really lovely time but unfortunately i couldn't take pictures of my outfits of the day, so i wont be able to show you what i wore, but i thought i would include a few pictures from my holiday so you get the idea of what i was up to. :)

We went to a place in the South of France, in the Dordogne called Belves and it was really beautiful, the weather was so warm, i was expecting it to rain but it went up to around 38 degrees on some days! Naturally i didn't tan at all, i swear im part albino, but i did come away with 10 HUGE mosquito bites, all of which i got on the last day at a water park, so im writing this while trying not to scratch them!

But my holiday isn't over, i have two weeks until i go back to school, and on Thursday, after getting my science gcse result (OOER) i am going to Reading Festival! Im super excited as this will be my first festival, il be sure to fill you all in when i get back and hopefully take some pictures.

Il be having a pretty casual day today, doing a bit of shopping, mostly for books for my holiday, as i go to France for a week on Saturday, so my last look book post before i go will be Friday, but i will take a photo of my outfit each day in France and write the posts when i get home. Its gone slightly chilly so i decided on jeans which i got in new York and this cute stripe/nautical top from the sales, its very revealing as it is a racer back so i got a pack of three boob tubes to go under it which makes it look much better!

Make Up Your Mind

Dress: Uniqulo
Bag: Cheeky Buddha
Necklace: Vintage
Earrings: Freedom at Topshop
Nails: Strawberry Margerita - OPI
I know I have been away for a while but I haven’t really had the inspiration to blog, but now I have decided I want to change my blog a bit, as you can see I have “redecorated” by blog, which I have to thank my friend Alice for, as she ever so kindly designed and decorated my blog so that it’s all shiny and new. I don’t really want to delete all my old posts so I just deleted the ones I felt were not good enough.

Now onto what my “new” blog will be like, I have been really inspired by Llymlrs blog, which is absolutely fabulous, go and check her out if you haven’t already; and I decided I wanted to try and do outfit of the day/look book posts. In the holidays I will try to post nearly every day but when I’m back to school it will be more like once/twice a week. I will be including a little message about what I will be/have been up to that day as well as something which I haven’t seen on many other blogs, a SOTD = Song of the day. Basically whichever song I am loving on that day! Let me know what you think about my new blog, I hope you enjoy it and I hope you like the first of my OOTD posts, I’m still getting used to my new set up, so bare with me while I experiment for a bit!

Surprise!

Hello lovelies, i broke up for summer on Friday and had a lovely afternoon with my friends, during this, one of my friends got her ears pierced and it really gave me a craving for a new piercing, i have only got the first wholes in my ears done, which i had done when i was 9 so i thought it was time for something new! Summer time is the best time to get piercings done as they usually take around 6 weeks before you can change them or take them out, which is perfect as my school do not allow jewellery.

For years i have really wanted a little stud in my nose and so i decided to propose it to my parents. I originally said that i wanted to get it done after my exams next year, so i can wear it for 6th form, but them my mum said that she didn't want me with a nose stud for prom, so its best to get it done now and then i can hide it for prom. So on Saturday while i was in town with my parents i went to the tattoo parlor with my dad to get my nose done. It was the quickest thing EVER. Literally all the process is, is pushing a needle into your nose, then pushing the stud onto the needle so that the stud goes in and the needle goes out. If that doesn't make sense then just search "getting my nose pierced" into youtube, there are loads of videos.

I absolutely love it. Getting my nose pierced is probably the best thing i have ever done, i cannot express how much i love it. I guess you guys want a picture then? Here you go, ignore the silly smile though ;)

Lots of Love

Review: Neom Luxury Organics

Before I begin, I do apologize for my absence recently, but now I am through with all my exams for the summer, I have taken my science gcse, another English controlled assessment and my first French oral. I am also in the middle of thinking about A Level choices, yes I know that I have a while till I need to decide (December- January time) but as I am probably moving schools for sixth form, I will need to know what I want to do before I start looking at other schools and colleges.

Now that’s over, I can get onto my post which Is going to be a rave/review. Recently, my mum and I came across a lovely organic candles etc company called Neom. Their whole ethos is creating beautiful, luxury organic products which are actually also very good for the mind. The website is just www.neomorganics.com and in their about us section, they talk about what their aim is:

Our dream was to create products that were as organic as they were effective, as gorgeous and pampering as they smelt divine and perhaps most importantly, as effective as their synthetic counterparts. Even if a product has all the right credentials and is as organic as you can get, if it doesn’t smell beautiful and isn’t a joy to use, you won’t come back and use it time and again.

We have ordered many things now, including mini bath oils (£15 for 5) which we gave to my granny, who absolutely loved them and couldn’t praise them enough, several of the “travel candles” (£13 for over 20 hours burning time), a “home candle” (£37.50 for 55 hours burning time) and my personal favourite the “Reed Diffusers” which I will go into more detail about later (£32)

There are many different scents, all of which have different properties, il list a few of my favourites below so that you can see which one would be right for you:

Real Luxury - Lavender, Jasmine, & Brazilian Rosewood (For some people it's a box of Rococo chocolates, for others it's a glass of Krug. For us it's the soothing relaxation of floral scent coupled with spicy tones, and a hint of woodiness for perfect pampering. (Even better with chocolates and Champagne). Also perfect for: me time, duvet days and daily stress.)

Refresh - Sicilian Lemon & Fresh Basil (A clean and cheerful blend that enlivens the body and recharges the soul. The perfect morning pick-me-up. Also perfect for: over worked and over tired, feeling groggy, sore throats.)

Invigorate - Grapefruit Bergamot (Think sunny mornings and balmy afternoons that cleanse the soul and freshen the mind. An uplifting and brightening scent that makes for positive thoughts and a strengthened spirit.)

The Candles

So there are three types of candle size, Travel (20 hours burning time), Home (55 hours) and Ultimate (over 100 hours) and rather than being made with paraffin wax and synthetic fragrance like the majority of candles on sale, they are made from a special blend of vegetable wax and 100% pure essential oils so they are far cleaner to the environment and you won’t get any black soot on your walls.

They are absolutely beautifully presented as well as smelling beautiful! I definitely recommend that you treat yourself to one, even if it is just a travel candle so that you can try out the scents.

All Images from NeomOrganics.com :)

The Reed Diffuser

This is my favorite new find which i think you will all love, on the website they describe the reed diffuser perfectly so il just tell you what they put:

A beautiful glass bottle holds the precious scent-diffusing oil made using only the highest quality blend of pure essential oils rather than synthetic fragrances. Once inserted into the bottle, the natural reed sticks absorb the oil blend and gradually diffuse the scent into your home. Like our award-winning candles and room mists, each reed diffuser is designed to give you a specific treatment, depending on the scent you choose.

The reason i love this idea is that you dont have to worry about flames or fire as you do with candles and the scent of these completely fills the room! I would not even hesitate to get these and i have a little tip for you if you want to get one but you are deterred by the price... for the diffusers you can buy refills, which are just smaller bottles (100ml) of the oil. What i have done is buy the refill bottle (£16) and some reeds (you can find http://www.ashleigh-burwood.co.uk for £1!) and you can just pop the reeds into the refill bottle and there you go, a more affordable way to test out the scents!

Im hoping that you can see how much i really rate this company! I love that everything in their products is natural with no nasties! Check out their facebook page for loads of deals (http://www.facebook.com/NEOM.Luxury.Organics) and also their website (http://neomorganics.com/) btw, i am not affiliated with this company (unfortunately) my mama brought all of the products.
So i highly recommend this company, please comment below if you check them out and tell me what your favourite scents/treatments are :)

Love from

MAC in a box :)

Recently i was just browsing the MAC website, as you do, and something popped up telling me that unfortunately the website was not working fully and so i couldn't actually place an order, but if i subscribed by email, they would send me a message when the site was up and running again AND give me a free Haute and Naughty mascara with any purchase. Of course i was going to take advantage of this offer, as that mascara is worth £17.50. So once they sent me an email saying that the website was fixed, i had another look for a while before i found what i wanted to get.

Now one of the things i have to say about the MAC website, is that it is very, very difficult to tell what the colours are like. When you shop at a MAC store, you can swatch the products and try them on, but when your shopping online, you might as well be blind. But luckily i knew that somewhere on the wonderful internet, one lovely blogger would have swatched the colours i was interested in. I decided i wanted a coral/orange lipstick for summer and after looking on the site for a while i discovered Ravishing and once i had seen the swatches, i ordered it.

True to their word, MAC sent me a mascara too, which im not opening yet, as i want to finish my Benefit Bad Gal Lash first. But here are pictures of what they both look like:

As i said, im not opening my Mascara yet but i will do a review once i have used it etc. But onto the lipstick, which is described on the website as : Clean light peachy coral and i think it definitely is, but a bit more orange. The swatch on the website did not put the colour to justice, because it really is a pretty colour which is perfect for summer. It really is a beautiful orangy coral colour, i just cannot wait to wear it with a tan!

Lots of love
Laura
