Surprise!

Hello lovelies, i broke up for summer on Friday and had a lovely afternoon with my friends, during this, one of my friends got her ears pierced and it really gave me a craving for a new piercing, i have only got the first wholes in my ears done, which i had done when i was 9 so i thought it was time for something new! Summer time is the best time to get piercings done as they usually take around 6 weeks before you can change them or take them out, which is perfect as my school do not allow jewellery.

For years i have really wanted a little stud in my nose and so i decided to propose it to my parents. I originally said that i wanted to get it done after my exams next year, so i can wear it for 6th form, but them my mum said that she didn't want me with a nose stud for prom, so its best to get it done now and then i can hide it for prom. So on Saturday while i was in town with my parents i went to the tattoo parlor with my dad to get my nose done. It was the quickest thing EVER. Literally all the process is, is pushing a needle into your nose, then pushing the stud onto the needle so that the stud goes in and the needle goes out. If that doesn't make sense then just search "getting my nose pierced" into youtube, there are loads of videos.

I absolutely love it. Getting my nose pierced is probably the best thing i have ever done, i cannot express how much i love it. I guess you guys want a picture then? Here you go, ignore the silly smile though ;)

Lots of Love

Review: Neom Luxury Organics

Before I begin, I do apologize for my absence recently, but now I am through with all my exams for the summer, I have taken my science gcse, another English controlled assessment and my first French oral. I am also in the middle of thinking about A Level choices, yes I know that I have a while till I need to decide (December- January time) but as I am probably moving schools for sixth form, I will need to know what I want to do before I start looking at other schools and colleges.

Now that’s over, I can get onto my post which Is going to be a rave/review. Recently, my mum and I came across a lovely organic candles etc company called Neom. Their whole ethos is creating beautiful, luxury organic products which are actually also very good for the mind. The website is just www.neomorganics.com and in their about us section, they talk about what their aim is:

Our dream was to create products that were as organic as they were effective, as gorgeous and pampering as they smelt divine and perhaps most importantly, as effective as their synthetic counterparts. Even if a product has all the right credentials and is as organic as you can get, if it doesn’t smell beautiful and isn’t a joy to use, you won’t come back and use it time and again.

We have ordered many things now, including mini bath oils (£15 for 5) which we gave to my granny, who absolutely loved them and couldn’t praise them enough, several of the “travel candles” (£13 for over 20 hours burning time), a “home candle” (£37.50 for 55 hours burning time) and my personal favourite the “Reed Diffusers” which I will go into more detail about later (£32)

There are many different scents, all of which have different properties, il list a few of my favourites below so that you can see which one would be right for you:

Real Luxury - Lavender, Jasmine, & Brazilian Rosewood (For some people it's a box of Rococo chocolates, for others it's a glass of Krug. For us it's the soothing relaxation of floral scent coupled with spicy tones, and a hint of woodiness for perfect pampering. (Even better with chocolates and Champagne). Also perfect for: me time, duvet days and daily stress.)

Refresh - Sicilian Lemon & Fresh Basil (A clean and cheerful blend that enlivens the body and recharges the soul. The perfect morning pick-me-up. Also perfect for: over worked and over tired, feeling groggy, sore throats.)

Invigorate - Grapefruit Bergamot (Think sunny mornings and balmy afternoons that cleanse the soul and freshen the mind. An uplifting and brightening scent that makes for positive thoughts and a strengthened spirit.)

The Candles

So there are three types of candle size, Travel (20 hours burning time), Home (55 hours) and Ultimate (over 100 hours) and rather than being made with paraffin wax and synthetic fragrance like the majority of candles on sale, they are made from a special blend of vegetable wax and 100% pure essential oils so they are far cleaner to the environment and you won’t get any black soot on your walls.

They are absolutely beautifully presented as well as smelling beautiful! I definitely recommend that you treat yourself to one, even if it is just a travel candle so that you can try out the scents.

All Images from NeomOrganics.com :)

The Reed Diffuser

This is my favorite new find which i think you will all love, on the website they describe the reed diffuser perfectly so il just tell you what they put:

A beautiful glass bottle holds the precious scent-diffusing oil made using only the highest quality blend of pure essential oils rather than synthetic fragrances. Once inserted into the bottle, the natural reed sticks absorb the oil blend and gradually diffuse the scent into your home. Like our award-winning candles and room mists, each reed diffuser is designed to give you a specific treatment, depending on the scent you choose.

The reason i love this idea is that you dont have to worry about flames or fire as you do with candles and the scent of these completely fills the room! I would not even hesitate to get these and i have a little tip for you if you want to get one but you are deterred by the price... for the diffusers you can buy refills, which are just smaller bottles (100ml) of the oil. What i have done is buy the refill bottle (£16) and some reeds (you can find http://www.ashleigh-burwood.co.uk for £1!) and you can just pop the reeds into the refill bottle and there you go, a more affordable way to test out the scents!

Im hoping that you can see how much i really rate this company! I love that everything in their products is natural with no nasties! Check out their facebook page for loads of deals (http://www.facebook.com/NEOM.Luxury.Organics) and also their website (http://neomorganics.com/) btw, i am not affiliated with this company (unfortunately) my mama brought all of the products.
So i highly recommend this company, please comment below if you check them out and tell me what your favourite scents/treatments are :)

MAC in a box :)

Recently i was just browsing the MAC website, as you do, and something popped up telling me that unfortunately the website was not working fully and so i couldn't actually place an order, but if i subscribed by email, they would send me a message when the site was up and running again AND give me a free Haute and Naughty mascara with any purchase. Of course i was going to take advantage of this offer, as that mascara is worth £17.50. So once they sent me an email saying that the website was fixed, i had another look for a while before i found what i wanted to get.

Now one of the things i have to say about the MAC website, is that it is very, very difficult to tell what the colours are like. When you shop at a MAC store, you can swatch the products and try them on, but when your shopping online, you might as well be blind. But luckily i knew that somewhere on the wonderful internet, one lovely blogger would have swatched the colours i was interested in. I decided i wanted a coral/orange lipstick for summer and after looking on the site for a while i discovered Ravishing and once i had seen the swatches, i ordered it.

True to their word, MAC sent me a mascara too, which im not opening yet, as i want to finish my Benefit Bad Gal Lash first. But here are pictures of what they both look like:

As i said, im not opening my Mascara yet but i will do a review once i have used it etc. But onto the lipstick, which is described on the website as : Clean light peachy coral and i think it definitely is, but a bit more orange. The swatch on the website did not put the colour to justice, because it really is a pretty colour which is perfect for summer. It really is a beautiful orangy coral colour, i just cannot wait to wear it with a tan!

Review: Liz Earl Naturally Active Skincare

So before i begin, you should all know that i am not being sponsored by any company to do this review, i bought these products myself and i am giving you my honest opinion on them, i am not being paid and they were not sent to me for free, sadly :P

I have been a fan of the Liz Earl skincare range for many years, as have most of my family. It was my mum who really started everyone onto it, after visiting their store on the Isle of Wight, where my dads parents live. Now my mum, dad, brother, grandparents, uncle, aunts and myself all use their range. Today i am going to review their best seller, The Cleanse and Polish, The Instant Boost Skin Tonic and one of their moisturisers, the Skin Repair Light. Lets start with the big daddy of all their produces, The Cleanse and Polish:

Price: £13.oo for a 100ml pump + 2 muslin cloths

What they say: We only make one cleanser because this formulation is the ultimate in concentrated yet gentle cleansing power and works on every age and skin type. plant-based cleanser has a 2-phase action, phase 1 is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make-up, even stubborn mascara. Phase 2 is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to help gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin. Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, clearer skin.

What i say: I absolutely love this cleanser, i could not be without it! The consistency is fantastic, creamy and nourishing, but not too thick. It smells beautiful, not perfumed just completely natural and i really love the feeling of it on my skin. I do not have a problem with it not removing my makeup, it just wipes away once i have applied this cleanser! The packaging is great with the pump, as it means you can get all of the product out, and you don't have to worry about how much to use, one pump should do you enough. It leaves my skin looking and feeling clean, refreshed and oh-so soft. I recommend this to all of you, whatever your skin type, this is perfect for everyone.

Repurchase? YES! This is probably my 100th bottle anyway, but i will always use this product!

The Instant Boost Skin Tonic
Price: £12 for a 200ml Spritzer

What they say: This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture. Pour onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck after using Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Naturally active ingredients include organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin.

What i say: is an absolute essential for summer! Its so cooling and smells just beautiful, i spray this onto my face and neck throughout the day to keep my skin hydrated and to cool myself down. It doesn't dry your skin out but just leaves you feeling completely revitalised and ready to take on anything, corny i know, but i honestly couldn't live without this product. If I'm on a plane i take it with me, if I'm ill i will constantly spray it onto me, its just perfect for everyday use and i adore it, especially in the heat!

Rating:

Repurchase? I love this so much, its a definite yes from me!

The Skin Repair Light
Price: £17.60 for a 50ml pump

What they say: Light and gentle, this easily absorbed moisturising lotion is ideal for combination, oily or problem skin. This finely balanced blend of naturally active skin-conditioning ingredients includes borage oil (a rich source of the essential fatty acid GLA), echinacea, hops, avocado oil, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) and natural antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamin E to replace lost moisture and help protect your skin, leaving it soft and smooth with a naturally healthy glow. Massage into face and neck, morning and night, after Instant Boost Skin Tonic. Includes borage and avocado to lightly moisturise and balance the skin.

What i say: This is the most expensive of the three products i am reviewing, but i think that it is totally worth it! As a teenager, i have rather oily skin and it can be difficult to find a moisturizer which it not too thick for my skin, but this is the best one i have ever tried. It is light and not greasy, it simply glides onto the skin and sinks in, leaving your face and neck feeling soft and smooth but not over packed with product. It is the perfect base to any foundation and other makeup. If you can afford it, i definitely recommend it. But if your skin is dry or normal, you should check out the other moisturisers, made specially for your types of skin.

Rating:

Repurchase? Though it may be more expensive that you would like, your skin will benefit from having an all-natural moisturiser and i will definitly be repurchasing this one.

So, as you can see i adore these products, they are available in selected John Lewis, in their stors and online, just search Liz Earl into google! I reccommed you all go and try them out, i promise you will not be dissapointed!

A Week In Wonderland: Week 6

001: so i know that this post is a day late but i had a pretty busy weekend, so I'm finally doing my week in wonderland, week 6! sorry for the fact that this is late, but please enjoy anyway :)

002: The week pretty much went as usual, working hard at school, trying to have family time and all that but on Tuesday, i really felt like doing something fun at the weekend, its nearly the end of term and i really felt like going out, so my friends Heidi and Lucy decided to go into the town near where we live, to a nightclub, which was holding a under 18 night. We went back to Heidi's, got dressed up and went out. It was a really fun night, as they had a foam machine, and as you can see from the picture above, (were at the side on the left, and I'm the one semi glowing from the light of my phone XD) we got absolutely SOAKED. It was in our eyes, hair, clothes and by the end of the night we had no makeup on whatsoever. It also didn't help that the guy who came with us kept aiming the foam in my face. thanks for that :P.

003: Apart from going to the night club, i did not do much this weekend except decide to start drinking LOTS of water to get healthy and detoxed, and try Green Tea for the first and last time. I do not care how good it is for you, it was just revolting. I do not reccomend it. 004: I also spent a lot of time doing my art homework, taking lots of pictures and editing them for my final piece. Im so looking forward to the easter/spring holiday now, its only 3 days away! Though i have lots of revision and work to do, i cannot wait for lie ins, sunny days, later nights and lots of chilling with my puppy :) I am planning a lot of blogging with my friend Alice who is starting her own blog so look out for outfit of the days and every type of post imaginable :D

Bath Bomb Cosmetics Reveiw :)

So first off let me apologize for being away again recently, first i had exams ( i will do a separate exam results post) and then just after i had finished all my exams i got sick! It was nothing major but i had no voice and a killer headache so there was no way i could film or blog so I'm so sorry about that! But now I'm better and my exams are over so i thought i would do a review of a product i tried recently while i was ill, its from the company Bath Bomb Cosmetics which is a company like lush who make bath bombs etc and for Christmas i got 2 "Heart Blaster Ballotin". They come in this cute little white box, almost like a chocolate or pastry might do with a brown ribbon on.

The bath bombs themselves are pink and heart shaped with rosebuds in. They smell gorgeous, not too strong, of a lovely rose smell which i could tell was going to be lovely in my bath! I filled my tub with hot water and put one of them in, it was awesome to watch because it sort of exploded, fizzing and bubbling while it went into my bath. The end result was milky moisturizing water with rose buds in it that smelt lovely. I immersed myself in it and felt totally relaxed and chilled. I smelt so lovely after it!

I have one left which i am saving for a special day when i need to relax, but I'm definitely going to order something else of their website because i was really impressed with the product!

If you want to know more there is a website: http://cart.bombcosmetics.co.uk

Look out for some new videos this weekend.

Lots of love

I Know im Vegetarian But...

This is my new obsession. My faux fur coat from Yumi, i got it in the sales for £31 down from £62, that's 50% off! Such a bargain and its absolutely gorgeous. Its a lovely pale brown colour which is really wearable and goes with practically everything. I love the vintagness (if thats a word) of this coat, and looks as if it should be worn by a risque dancer over a mini dress, with matt red lips, hmm maybe ill have to try that look next time....

But seriously, i think this will be perfect over little dresses for the party season, for example I'm wearing it over a dress to a new years eve party tomorrow ( don't worry, ill blog pictures on Saturday) but it can also be worn more casually over jeans with a pretty top. I think this is such a wearable item of 'vintage' style clothing, as faux fur is totally in style right now and you can find great pieces on the high street for very reasonable prices. A few of my favourites are:

(Motel -------------French Connection---------Asos---------------Lipsy)

So if your interested, check them out! I'm off to have some dinner now but i should be blogging/vlogging more soon :) Look out for my Outfit Of The Night for New Years Eve which i will either record and put on YouTube or i will take pictures of and put then up here :)

Lots of Love
